About Me!

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my website!

I have been doing art all my life.  I could entertain myself for hours as a child making my own paper dolls and geography puzzles. Hence, I know where all the states are.

I believe in 2nd chances because I was given one not so long ago.  I decided then to live my life with intention and with no regrets. I have always thought that people come into your life for a reason.  For that, I have immense gratitude for the life I have and the people that are in my circle.

I'm an avid hiker who has hiked about 200 miles of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. Hiking out in the wilderness is the one thing that keeps me from ruminating so I do it often.  Some of my best stories have happened when I was hiking.

I drink way too much coffee throughout the day, especially at my job as an elementary art teacher.  I love reading about the lives of artists and sharing that information with my students whom teach me a lot as well.

It seems like my week is filled with driving around Virginia and complaining about it.  I spend a lot of my time in my 13 year old Honda with 150,000 miles hoping to make it to 250,000 before the engine blows up.  I listen to a lot of podcasts and throwback music in the process.

I misplace my keys and cellphone often.

I love deep conversations about life in the early hours of the morning with people that are trying to find their way like me.

I'm a romantic.  I am a dreamer.  I refuse to apologize for being both.

Oh, and the art?  I am inspired every day mostly about the things that I see. I have done it all-florals, nature, architectural landmarks and people.  I used to tell myself to focus on one area and one medium, but that doesn't make me happy so I do whatever I want now.

I hope you like my art and that I hear from you soon!
